Deep Vein Thrombosis

DVT Prevention

Sleeves and pumps are commonly used in the surgery center to prevent deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in patients who are at risk. Both sleeves and pumps are effective methods for preventing DVT in the surgery center, and their use may vary depending on the patient's individual needs and the type of surgery being performed. The decision to use these devices is typically made by the medical team responsible for the patient's care.

Advantages we provide

  • All sleeves and machines necessary are provided as Durable Medical Equipment (DME) without any cost to the facility.

  • Additionally, MDS bills the patient's insurance as required without any extra charges to the patient.

  • ACHC accredited with 100% ratings to verify our auditing/billing.

  • We fully accept the insurance decision as final and do not balance bill the patient.

  • The program includes a DVT risk assessment form that helps identify each patient's risk factors and provides further protection to the facility, surgeon and patient from unwanted DVT.

  • We have access to pumps and sleeves from several manufacturers such as Zimmer, DJO, Medline, Breg, Covidien, and more.

  • As part of our commitment to environmental sustainability, we offer an optional recycling program to support your "green" initiative.

  • Continuing Education Program available for staff members.
